Catharine Brown has worked in the Film and Television industry for over 20 years

Catharine started as a photographic assistant to music industry photographers in the mid 90s. Then as a camera technician, worked her way through the camera department grades and was an established and successful 1st AC before transitioning to operating.

Her passion for image has developed her creativity and expertise in the field of visual storytelling as an operator. She works collaboratively with Directors, DOPs and film crews.

Experienced with: fluid and geared heads, Gimbals mounted with GFMs, black arms and telescopic cranes; Remote heads on cranes and electric tracking vehicles; Hand Held and Dolly work.

Can shoot/light for splinter, insert and (small VFX) units for commercials, features, TV Drama and documentaries.

Catharine is a full member of the Association of Camera Operators.
